Matthew Goldman received his BS in cellular biology from The State University of New York at Binghamton in 2018. As an undergraduate student, he worked in a Lyme disease research laboratory where he studied disease risk factors in residential areas. In 2019, he joined the LESA Center plant laboratory division. His current research with GLASE involves growing lettuce under varying UV light recipes using the TIGER lights developed at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
“With advancements to sensing technology, we can remotely and non-invasively detect biological factors, allowing for optimized plant growth.” – Matthew Goldman
