Webinar presented by Dr. Erik Runkle, Professor of Horticulture, Michigan State University
The light environment predominantly regulates yield and quality of leafy greens grown indoors. Other environmental parameters can modify light responses, such as temperature and carbon dioxide concentration. In this webinar, Erik will focus on the effects of the photon flux density and spectrum at regulating lettuce when grown hydroponically in vertical layers. He will also share some research highlights from colleagues that are part of the Optimizing Indoor Agriculture (OptimIA) project that focuses on the vertical farming of leafy greens.
